Ace of Cups

As with the other Aces, Ted himself is transformed into a material representation of the philosophical element represented by the suit. Here we see a watery Ted surging up out of the sea.

Ted holds aloft a golden cup of pure water. The gold of the cup emphasises the immense value of its liquid content.

The cup is adorned with a red heart, corresponding to the suit of Hearts in the modern deck of playing card, which in turn has over the centuries developed from the suit of Cups in the Tarot. The heart also symbolizes the inner, emotional life of all human beings: what are so meaningfully known as matters of the heart.

Divination

Joyful new beginning, well deserved. Love, abundance, contentment, creativity, communication, all good things. Start of a creative phase of life. But beware of well-intentioned but possible spurious “advice” — be prepared to take your own chances!
